Mathematics Tutoring Services for Spring Semester 2005

Free Tutors

LindH 150

This is a general tutoring room for 1-3xxx level math classes. Both an undergraduate student and a math graduate student tutor are there Monday through Friday from approximately 8:00am -4:30pm. This service uses a ‘take a number’ system. This service starts January 20 and will run through May 6. Graduate students will start approximately January 27. There will be limited hours during final exam week.

VinH 203A

There is a general tutoring room for 1-3xxx level math classes. A Math graduate student tutor will be there from approximately 4-6pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. This service has started and will end Thursday, May 5.

LindH 128

This room is where students can make an appointment with an undergraduate tutor for 25 minutes. The phone number is (612) 624-2890. This service starts January 20 and runs through May 6.

LindH 150 (table behind staircase for Math 2243 and 2263)

This area is for tutoring of students in Math 2243 and 2263. When no tutor is available, students can also go to the main part of LindH 150. This service will start approximately January 25 through May 6.

Dormitories

There are a few dormitories that will offer tutoring services. These hours are Sunday through Thursday evenings. Services will start approximately January 24 and run through May 6.

Tutors for Hire

Private Tutors

We have a list of graduate students that students can hire for tutoring. This list includes their phone number and email address. All arrangements are made between the student and the graduate student. This list is on the bookshelf in the Undergraduate Office (Vincent Hall 115) or call (612) 625-4848 and we can email, mail or a schedule. Or send email to: ugrad@math.umn.edu.
