Junior Colloquium

Cultural Learnings from Topology Make for Benefit Glorious University of Minnesota

Prof. Don Kahn

This talk will trace the development of homology theories, from the classical homology which is usually taught in courses (due to Alexander, Betti, Euler, Poinacre...) through the discovery of non-trivial homology with zero coefficients from the oxford school, up to the extraordinary homology or K theory (Grothendieck, Atiyah, Hirzebruch). Some of the more striking applications will be mentioned.

p.s. Please listen my talk or I be execute.
