My current research is on the abelian/nonabelian correspondence in Gromov-Witten theory. The talk will address the following questions: What is a Gromov-Witten invariant? What's this correspondence? What tools can be used to approach the problem? If you're interested in algebraic geometry, combinatorics involving graphs, or this area of mathematical physics, then something in this talk should catch your fancy.
