As far as our eyes can tell, we live in a three-dimensional world. Visualizing three-dimensional shapes comes naturally to us. But, not all of the mathematical objects we wish to understand are three-dimensional.
Trying to picture a 600-cell is not easy for most of us. However, calculating the intersection of a 600-cell with a line of sight is straightforward.
