Undergraduate Math Club





The next meeting of the Math Club will be on Thursday, November 5, at 12:10 pm, in 120 Vincent. Professor Bryan Mosher will speak on Fellow travelers: road trips in Cayley graphs




The Math Club is very grateful to Professor Willard and Mrs. Jane Miller for their very generous donation, now for the third year in a row, to help support travel and student activities.


Möbius Transformations Revealed



Professor Bert Fristedt will hold weekly sessions to prepare for the upcoming math competitions. Practices for the two undergraduate math contexts, the North Central Team contest and the Putnam Exam, will be on Fridays, 11:15-3:20 pm, beginning September 11. The meetings take place in VinH 113. The Math Club will meet every Thursday of the semester at 12:10 pm in Vincent 120.

The Math Club is open to all undergraduate students in mathematics; students from other programs are also welcome. The goal of the club is to provide a forum for students to meet and discuss issues of common interest, such as careers in mathematics, research, graduate school, academic concerns, internship opportunities, scholarships, special lectures and summer programs.

New programs: Freshmen, Sophomore and Juniors check out the new undergraduate options in Mathematical Biology.
