Fernando Reitich's research interests lie in the general areas of PDE and numerical analysis, with emphasis on applications in computational electromagnetics and materials science. In electromagnetics, specific interests are in the design of high-order numerical methods for wave scattering applications; in materials science, of concern are evolutionary (including free-boundary) models for the mechanical, thermodynamical and electromagnetic behavior of complex systems.
