Keyboard Shortcuts

Keyboard Shortcuts are a nice alternative to using the mouse. While this page focuses the Fedora desktop environment, there are also keyboard shortcuts for Windows and keyboard shortcuts for Mac OS X.

In Gnome, you can view the full list by running the command gnome-keybinding-properties. The command is also on the application menu starting in the lower left of the bottom panel: Hat > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts. The file browser nautilus can also bring you to the preferences, run nautilus preferences:/// and select "Keyboard Shortcuts".

In KDE, you can view the keyboard shortcuts by running kcontrol and selecting the Index tab, then "Regional & Accessibility" and then "Keyboard Shortcuts". The KDE control center is also in the "Preferences" entry of the "Applications" menu.
