Adding a Terminal Button in Fedora Linux
These steps were written for Fedora Core 1, and the current Fedora release is Core 3. General details are the same.
- Move the mouse pointer over the gray panel at the bottom of the desktop.
- Click the mouse's right button.
A menu entry for "Add to Panel" should be at the top of the menu list, if not, try right clicking on different portions of the panel.
- Move the mouse through the "Add to Panel" menus until you have the "Terminal" entry selected.
The path is "Add to Panel" > "Launcher from Menu" > "System Tools" > "Terminal".
- Click on the "Terminal" menu entry.
An "Terminal" icon should appear in the panel.
