Adding a Terminal Button in Fedora Linux

These steps were written for Fedora Core 1, and the current Fedora release is Core 3. General details are the same.

  1. Move the mouse pointer over the gray panel at the bottom of the desktop.
  2. Click the mouse's right button. A menu entry for "Add to Panel" should be at the top of the menu list, if not, try right clicking on different portions of the panel.
  3. Move the mouse through the "Add to Panel" menus until you have the "Terminal" entry selected. The path is "Add to Panel" > "Launcher from Menu" > "System Tools" > "Terminal".
  4. Click on the "Terminal" menu entry. An "Terminal" icon should appear in the panel.
