Supercomputers at the U
The Minnesota Supercomputing Institute has large and small computer clusters available.
Computing tutorials & workshops are offered throughout the year.
MSI has small clusters in labs focused on different topics, and core clusters for high end supercomputing.

MSI proposal deadlines for their supercomputing resources are April 15th and October 15th.
The MSI account application form is ideally submitted before the deadline, but can be sent in during the current access period.
The MSI proposal review process
is more detailed if the proposal uses more than 950 service units (SUs).
To use MSI proposals must have a faculty sponsor from an accredited MN post-secondary school.
Other Supercomputing Resources
LCSE works on "innovative hardware and system software solutions to problems in computational science and engineering". IT faculty and students have access to the lab.
AHPCRC at the University of Minnesota runs a Summer Institute for students, and has an annual grant process for faculty research proposals.
The AHPCRC has Cray X1 primer.
