“On the higher order Yamabe problem”

Abstract:
We will consider the Yamabe problem for symmetric functions of the eigenvalues of the Schouten tensor and its relationships with other topics, notably optimal transportation and geometric optics. In particular, we shall describe recent work with Xu-jia Wang and other collaborators.
