cubic inches of frozen orange juice. The cost per square inch of constructing the metal top and bottom is twice the cost per square inch of constructing the cardboard side. What are the dimensions of the least expensive can?
(Hint: If the cost of the side is A per square inch, the cost of the bottom and top is 2A per square inch. Write the cost function in terms of these A's. When you are finding the derivative these A's will be taken as constants and will cancel each other in the process of finding where the derivative is 0.)
