Homework X

The tenth homework is due Thursday, May 1st, recitation time. If you cannot make it to the recitation, please let me know beforehand (by email or in person after the class on Tuesday).

The homework consists of the following three problems from the fourth chapter:

Chapter 4: Exercise 7.8, parts f), h), j), l),
Exercise 8.17, part c) (do in two ways: by substitution and by using 8.16),
Exercise 8.18, part a) (do in two ways: by substitution in a geometric series and by using 8.16).
