The seventh homework is due Thursday, November 7th, recitation time.
If you cannot make it to the recitation, please let me know beforehand
(by email or in person after the class on Tuesday).
The homework consists of the following eight problems from the
third and fourth chapters:
Chapter 3: 6.3;
Chapter 4: 1.12(c), 1.12(f), 1.12(g), 1.12 (h), 1.12(i), 1.12(j), 2.11.
Note and hint:
In Exercise 1.12, none of the convergent
integrals has an easy to evaluate value. You may give a numerical result
for those integrals (using a calculator or mathematical program) or you
can bound the values using an appropriate bound of the integrand.
In Exercise 2.11, it should be enough to consider finite series,
meaning series whose terms all become 0 after some point.
Good luck!
