Course Description:
This is the second semester course for introduction to Lie groups and Lie algebras and their
representations. We will start with Chapter 9 this semester.
The materials covered in this year-long course can be viewed as an introduction to general Lie Theory
from algebraic point of view in general. It is fundamental to many research areas in modern mathematics.
It is definitely important for students who intend to study Algebra, Combinatorics, Automorphic Forms,
Mathematical Physics, and any Mathematics with group actions.
Homework, Exams, Final Test:
Homework Problems will be assigned, but no exams are required.
