From the airport, the easiest way to get to campus is the light rail. It will cost you at most $1.75 and won't take much longer than a taxi. If you do want a taxi, one reasonable choice is Super Shuttle, which should cost roughly $15 to get to campus. Tell them you are going to the Radisson Metrodome hotel on the East Bank of the U of M campus and they should get you here.
To get here on the train, go to the light rail station and buy a ticket, which can be used to transfer to the bus. Take the train north towards downtown Minneapolis. Get off at the downtown east / Metrodome station and transfer to an eastbound (= away from downtown) route 16 or route 50 bus. The stop for those buses is basically part of the rail station, near the back of the northbound trains. Look in the bus shelter for schedules and the routes that use that stop. After crossing the river, you'll be on the East Bank part of campus; to get to the Radisson Hotel, get off at Harvard St or Walnut St. To get to Vincent Hall, the math building, get off at Coffman Union.
