Schedule for all lectures and recitations of Math 2373.
- IMPORTANT NOTICE: There is a course packet ("the lilac handout")
that you must purchase at Alpha Print in Dinkytown (1407 Fourth St. SE, Minneapolis MN 55414, (612)379-8535).
Get a copy as soon as possible. All homework
assignments are contained in this packet. The first
homework assignment is already due on Tuesday, January 29, 2008.
- The only REQUIRED TEXTS for the course are the lilac handout
and its sequel coming out mid-semester, also to be purchased at Alpha Print,
(and also lavender-colored).
- An OPTIONAL TEXT for the course
is "A first course in differential equations with modeling
applications" by Dennis G. Zill (Library of Congress number QA372 .Z54 2001b),
available on two hour reserve in the mathematics library.
- ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTICE: Go to

to reactivate your IT labs account (use the IT Labs Account Creation Form) and also check out the free offer of your very own personal MATLAB license.
(When things go wrong in the lab you can do your lab work at home.)
- Here's what you need to know about exams.
- Dates and times
- Thurday evening, 5-6 or 6:05-7:05pm, February 21, 2008 (Midterm I)
- Thursday evening, 5-6 or 6:05-7:05pm, March 27, 2008 (Midterm II)
- Thursday evening, 5-6, or 6:05-7:05pm, May 1, 2008 (Midterm III)
- Monday afternoon, 13:30-16:30, May 12, 2008 (Final Exam)
- You need to know the name of your TA and the number of your recitation.
Make sure you know.
You will be asked to write this information on every exam.
- Midterm exam locations:
- All students in Lec. 01 (Lecturer: Chen) go to Physics 150.
- Students in recitation 26 (TA: Hao Jia) also go to Physics 150.
- Students in recitations 21,22,23 go to Physics 166.
- Students in recitations 24,25 go to Physics 170.
- Final exam locations.
