News and Announcements will go here
NEWS Dec 20: Due to the icy road conditions, I won't be
there for Office Hour today. Send me email or call me at 612-723-5121
between the hours of 10:30 and 12:30 today.
If I do manage to get there (it will be much later!) I'll post the times
here before I come in.
NEWS Dec 19a: A solution of Special Problem 5
has been posted. I suggest you read it because it contains
som possibly useful review. Good Luck with all your Finals!
NEWS Dec 19: Final Exam: Tuesday Dec. 21, 1:30 - 3:30 pm,
in our usual classroom.
The Final will essentially be a double-sized Test. It will have the
same format as the Tests, with questions asking for a definition
or the statement of a Theorem, and then a related problem.
But note that the problem may not use the Theorem itself! It
may use part of the proof or may use a special case.
Questions are likely to be based on Homework problems or on
(parts of) Special Problems.
Office Hour will be from about 11am to noon Monday Dec. 20.
Check later today for additions.

NEWS Nov 10: Updated Assignments are posted.
Test 2 is Friday November 12; Good luck!
Homework hints: in the Laurent Series problems, pick a suitable
contour; use the power series for the cosine.
NEWS Nov 4: Updated Assignments are posted.
FYI: A link to a note on "unordered summation" is posted.
NEWS Oct 29: A link to a very preliminary list
of Definitions and Theorems has been added. Uniform
convergence is found on pages 7 and 8.
Some of the News iems have been transferred to Old News --
its link is below.
NEWS Oct 28: Updated Assignments
(Special Problem 4 was added) are posted.
I could not find suitable problems in the text, so I
made some up. They may be calculated directly
if you wish, but using Theorems will, I believe, be faster.
NEWS Oct 27: Updated Assignments are posted.
NEWS Oct 26: A solution of Special problem 3 is posted.
