Abstract

(joint work with D. Armstrong and B. Rhoades; arXiv:1204.1760) Noncrossing partitions of a set have a fascinating generalization to all finite reflection groups, with many amazing but mysterious properties. After reviewing this, we discuss a conjecture that would explain many of these properties.
