Hint for Part a. of Exercise 2

Suppose that we have proved the result for ₁: Aⁿ -> A^k, where m < k < n. As in the Hint for Exercise 1, we can replace the closure of one of the images by a suitable distinguished open subset. Some of the choices are slightly more ambiguous in the present situation, but the methods are reasonably similar.
