For each day, we list the sections we expect to cover in lecture and the
homework problems that are assigned, along with the due date. To aid your
studies, we also list suggested problems, which you do not hand in. The
solutions for most of the suggested problems can be found in the Student Study
Guide for the textbook (which is on reserve in the Math Library in 310 Vincent
Hall). The best way to approach homework is to solve the suggested problems,
check your answers at the end of your textbook, and then move on to the assigned
problems.
** The assigned homework problems that start with an "S" refer to this
sample
final. **
Homework is due at the beginning of lecture on Fridays
(to the instructor, not to your TA), and no late assignments will be accepted!
If you cannot come to lecture, you will need to hand in your homework earlier;
email your instructor to make arrangements.
Lab writeups are given to the TA during the
corresponding week's lab. Check problems due and concrete dates
in the table at the end of this document.
