Overview:
An eight week tour of differential and
integral calculus in one variable, and differential calculus in two
variables. Does not involve trigonometry. Emphasis on formulas and
their interpretation and use in applications. 4 credits. 5 two hour
lectures per week.
Please note that the class title does not mean
the class requires less effort than other calculus classes. On the
contrary, this class cover a wide range of topics, with the notable
exception of trigonometry in just eight weeks.
Textbook: Hoffman and Bradley, 2000, Calculus for Business, Economics, etc, 7th Ed.
