2. Q4.1 & Q4.2 are derived by taking half of the double weighted Q4

5. AT is the total after taking into account the score(s) from extra credit problems
6. The statistics are based on the scores of the 25 students who appeared for the final

The third midterm will cover Chapter 11. Note that you'll need to know and use the techniques we learnt in the previous chapters so do not completely ignore the content of those chapters.

07/10:

Extra credits worth 6 points (1% of the total grade) will be awarded to students who correctly find the area outside the circle r = 3 sin θ and inside the cardioid r = 1 + sin θ. Please submit the exercise by Thursday, July 17, on a different sheet than the regular homework.

06/26:

Extra credits worth 6 points (1% of the total grade) will be awarded to students who correctly solve ∫₀ ^π/2  √{a²cos²u+b²sin²u} du . Please submit the exercise by Thursday, July 3, on a different sheet than the regular homework.

06/24:

Extra credits worth 6 points (1% of the total grade) will be awarded to students who correctly solve and submit by Monday, June 30, the exercise 7.3.19 without using integration by parts or by partial fractions. Please submit the exercise on a different sheet than the regular homework.

The homeworks will be due at the beginning of the class. As an alternative, you may hand them in my mailbox (Vincent 107) by 2:20pm of the due date. The homework can be turned in 24 hours late for half credit. No homeworks will be accepted later than that unless pre-arranged with me. Ideally, students should do the homework problems assigned for the previous classes before coming to the class.
