I earned my undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Northwestern University in 1985. At the time, the football program was going through it's "tranquil period". (aka 34 game losing streak) The picture at left is with my college friends in Pasadena, New Year's Day 1996, watching our beloved Wildcats in the Rose Bowl. That season was proof that miracles do happen (sometimes on a weekly basis.)

In the winter, I enjoy cross-country skiing, and have coached a high school team for eighteen years. (Minnetonka (1985-86), Simley (1986-1995), Maple Grove (1999-2002)) Currently I am the Head Coach at Minneapolis South High School(2002-2006). The picture at left is of my first Maple Grove Crimson team in 1998-99, including the 7 kids I have coached at the State Meet (Kris Miller, Darren Halzle, Amy Wyman, Liz Book, Allison Gorsuch, Sarah Litchy and Dan Luoma)

My summertime passion is the sport of croquet. I have played competitively since 1987 and served as the Director of Croquet for the United States Croquet Association from 1995 to 1998. My tournament victories include the Midwest Regional (1992 and 1994), Southwest Regional (1997), Country Boys (1996), Minnesota Open (1997), Champion Ford Owensboro Open (2000) Prairie Lights Open (2001) and Windy City Classic (2006)
