This page contains notes concerning the thermal modeling of a Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL). This project was carried out in Summer 2001 as a joint venture between the Minnesota Center for Industrial Mathematics (MCIM) and Honeywell. The computational aspects were performed by a graphical Finite Element Method solver called FEMLAB.
